Bike New Zealand with breath-taking tours developed by experienced local cyclists

7 or 14 day South Island Guided Bicycle Tours

Flexibility Style and Convenience

We have developed a range of fully guided cycle tours of either 7 or 14 days starting in either Christchurch or Queenstown.

The tour commencing in Christchurch starts gently enough, with the open beauty of the Canterbury Plains, then through rolling countryside which gradually opens up into the expansive Mackenzie Basin. You continue past sparkling southern lakes, while admiring the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and the golden tussock of the Lindis Pass area. As you continue though historic goldmining towns you will arrive at Queenstown, the outdoor adventure capital of New Zealand.

The second half of the tour starts in Queenstown and we travel through the hill country alongside Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. From here we journey to the spectacular West Coast of the South Island through the dense dense rain forest of some of New Zealands most renowned National Heritage Parks. There is also the opportunity to visit the face of Fox or Franz Josef glaciers. The tour concludes with a train journey aboard the world-famous TranzAlpine Express, traversing the scenic splendour of the Southern Alps to Christchurch.
